Who is Nathaniel Payne?

I'm a 30+ year old nerd from the rough inner farmlands of Iowa. I'm married to a wonderful woman that I don't deserve, and together we have three amazing children; two boys, and a little girl. Together, they all make my life worth living.

What does he do for a living?

I'm an IT project analyst for an international agricultural company headquartered in Des Moines. Essentially, I solve problems through the careful application of software implementations. I work with some pretty amazing people at a pretty amazing company that offers me opportunities for travel and personal development. Through my company, I have gotten to travel to Belgium, Mexico, Brazil, Singapore, India, China, and South Africa. The company has also helped me to obtain my PMP project management certification.

That's boring. What ELSE does he do?

In my free time, I'm a creative type constantly trying to find ways to express myself. Sometimes that's done through music (usually either a 12-string guitar or a piano). Other times that's through writing, drawing, programming (like this website!) or any number of other creative pursuits. I blog, I read, I pin, I tumble. I play games (video, board, card, etc.). I basically can't stop.

Man, does he ever shut up?

Nope! I love to talk, I love to be the center of attention, but most of all, I love to entertain others. Right now I do that by helping to organize and emcee events for the Overflow Music ministry out of rural central Iowa. I also work with and emcee various other events throughout central Iowa, including Spirit Midwest and (starting 2012) PraiseFest. I'll also be officiating a couple of weddings in 2012, but that's a talent that's really reserved for close friends and family.

If you would like to secure my talents for YOUR event, or you just want to yell at me about nothing in particular, you can contact me in one of many different ways. You can find me on Facebook, Google+ or Twitter. You can even reach me through Tumblr. Or you can go a bit old school and email me.

Anything else?

Nah, I'm good for now.
