{"id":2053,"date":"2007-10-10T10:06:15","date_gmt":"2007-10-10T16:06:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nerdflood.com\/2007\/10\/10\/tons-of-awesome-nintendo-announcements\/"},"modified":"2007-10-10T10:06:15","modified_gmt":"2007-10-10T16:06:15","slug":"tons-of-awesome-nintendo-announcements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nathanielpayne.com\/blog\/tons-of-awesome-nintendo-announcements\/","title":{"rendered":"Tons of awesome Nintendo announcements"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nintendo held a press conference in Japan last night and announced a plethora of fantastic upcoming items of sheer coolness. <a href=\"http:\/\/wii.ign.com\/articles\/826\/826130p1.html\">IGN Wii has a live blog of the event<\/a> posted, and I&#8217;ll throw out some links to some of the highlights here.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.smashbros.com\/en_us\/characters\/sonic.html\">Sonic is officially in <em>Super Smash Bros. Brawl<\/em><\/a>. Check out the intro movie <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smashbros.com\/en_us\/characters\/sonic.html#movie\">here<\/a>. All of his sound effects appear to be derived from Sonic 1 for the Genesis. Classy.<\/li>\n<li><em>Monster Hunter 3<\/em> &#8212; previously set to arrive on the PS3 &#8212; <a href=\"http:\/\/wii.ign.com\/articles\/826\/826135p1.html\">is now coming to the Wii<\/a>. According to Capcom, they&#8217;ve shifted development over completely.<\/li>\n<li>A <a href=\"http:\/\/wii.ign.com\/articles\/826\/826136p1.html\">new <em>Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles<\/em> game<\/a> will appear solely on the WiiWare channel for $15. It&#8217;s title will supposedly be <em>Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Little King and the Promised Country<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>A <a href=\"http:\/\/wii.ign.com\/articles\/826\/826148p1.html\">new online multiplayer <em>Dr. Mario<\/em> game was confirmed<\/a> for WiiWare, as well.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/wii.ign.com\/articles\/826\/826152p1.html\">Two more Wii channels announced<\/a>, including the previously hinted-at Mii popularity contest channel and an update to the Everybody Votes channel that will include a database of game reviews and opinions. There will also be a channel to download Nintendo DS demos.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/media.wii.ign.com\/articles\/826\/826161\/imgs_1.html\"><em>Super Mario Stadium Baseball<\/em> was announced<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And these are just the things that <em><strong>I<\/strong><\/em> think are cool.
