I managed to hack together 742 words over my lunch break. It&#8217;s pretty awful, but then, it&#8217;s not necessarily supposed to be <em>good<\/em>. It&#8217;s just supposed to <em>be<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s amazing how difficult it is to write when you&#8217;re staring at a blank page. Even when you have absolutely <em>every detail<\/em> of the story mapped out ahead of time. Outlines and prose are truly two very separate things.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s hope I can get another thousand words strung together this evening and keep up a 1,600 word a day average.<\/p>\n<p><em>Yikes.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>By the way, check out my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nanowrimo.org\/eng\/user\/214719\">profile page<\/a> <em>(WARNING: the NaNoWriMo servers are running <strong>very slowly<\/strong> at the moment)<\/em> to see a quick excerpt from the novel.
