So, time to clear the air. Here is a detailed side by side comparison of the two sites to give everyone a very clear understanding of what each site provides you, the valued reader.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#3366ff;\"><strong>IowaFlood<\/strong><\/span>: created to provide Iowans up-to-the-minute news and multiple perspectives on the current midwest flooding crisis plaguing our fair state.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#99cc00;\"><strong>Nerdflood<\/strong><\/span>: created as a platform from which to dispense my snarky commentary and clever insight into social media, video games, and life in general. Also, kids.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Content<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#3366ff;\"><strong>IowaFlood<\/strong><\/span>: collects photos and videos from Iowans viewing disasters, news footage, personal stories, and even Iowa flood-related Twitter posts.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#99cc00;\"><strong>Nerdflood<\/strong><\/span>: contains pure unadulterated text. And sometimes pictures. But no <a href=\"http:\/\/icanhascheezburger.com\">lolcats<\/a> (I don&#8217;t know if that&#8217;s a plus or a minus).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Creator<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#3366ff;\"><strong>IowaFlood<\/strong><\/span>: some Des Moines-based web developer named <a href=\"http:\/\/brudtkuhl.com\">Andy Brudtkuhl<\/a>, from <a href=\"http:\/\/48webconsulting.com\">48web Consulting<\/a>. Also responsible for <a href=\"http:\/\/getanewbrowser.com\">Get a New Browser<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/dmtweetup.org\">dmtweetup<\/a>, and various <a href=\"http:\/\/iowablogs.net\">other<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/centraliowabloggers.com\">ventures<\/a>. He may also have created <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\">Twitter<\/a>** and there&#8217;s a rumor going around that he is the second coming of Christ.***<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#99cc00;\"><strong>Nerdflood<\/strong><\/span>: ME. I also made <a href=\"http:\/\/minific.com\">Minific<\/a>. <em>Kinda.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#3366ff;\"><strong>IowaFlood<\/strong><\/span>: has existed for only <em>one day<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#99cc00;\"><strong>Nerdflood<\/strong><\/span>: has been around for over <em>two years<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>I think it&#8217;s plainly clear that these two sites serve completely different audiences. <a href=\"http:\/\/nerdflood.com\">Nerdflood<\/a> is for geeks that like geeky things. Also, people who are really bored and have nothing better to read. <a href=\"http:\/\/iowaflood.com\">IowaFlood<\/a> is for people who are interested in knowing more about the flooding crisis that is currently holding the midwest captive in its steely claws of steely doom.
